Michelle Glim
Michelle Glim is the first in her family to pursue music. She began dating her future husband in high school, right around the time she first began playing the oboe, and she says he’s been her biggest supporter in mastering her craft, even on days when it’s challenging. In 2019, Michelle graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts in music (oboe performance) and English literature with a minor in Bible and Theology from William Jessup University. Currently, Michelle finds her passion in sharing her love for oboe with her students and helping them discover why the instrument is so amazing! She can be seen performing with the Fort Wayne Area Community Band, the Purdue Fort Wayne Community Orchestra, and at various local churches.
In her free time, Michelle loves running 5ks and 10ks, reading, and making her own oboe reeds. She and her husband care for four cats and a handful of fish who enjoy a spacious 75-gallon aquarium.
