Jesse Evans

Even after 30 years of playing, Jesse Evans is proud to say he’ll never really “conquer” music. He sees it as a lifelong pursuit of beauty, excellence, and fun. Jesse earned his Bachelor of Music Education at Valparaiso University and his Master of Music Education at Boston University. He’s now spent the past 20+ years instructing numerous middle and high school bands, as well as drum and bugle corps across the Midwest. Jesse also served as an associate professor of music for Vincennes University. You can currently catch him performing with an Irish rock band and the U.S. Army 38^th Infantry Division Band. Jesse loves listening to legendary film composers Howard Shore and John Williams as well as prog rock legends Pink Floyd. He’s an avid distance runner, and when he’s away from work, he likes to go on long backpacking trips with his wife Jennifer and son Anton.
