Gabriel Fenoglio

Gabriel Fenoglio

Most college students don’t wait until the final week before graduation to discover their passion, but that’s what happened to Gabriel Fenoglio. Gabriel had taken piano lessons and a handful of music classes, yet when he enrolled at Purdue University,  he fully expected to retire as a mechanical engineer. In that final week of college, Gabriel played in a basement with some friends – his first time playing with a drummer and guitarist. Something clicked. He fell in love with the communication and collaboration that comes with performing live music. After a few years of engineer work, Gabriel made a radical change. He traveled to France to study jazz piano improvisation at IMEP Paris College of Music. Now, as a teacher himself, Gabriel takes a judgment-free, student-focused approach to lessons, fostering a student’s innate passion for music. Gabriel believes real success occurs when a student develops an internal need to work hard and no longer relies on external motivation. Gabriel and his partner frequently perform as a jazz/folk/pop set at various coffee shops and restaurants throughout Fort Wayne. He also loves to hike, birdwatch, paint, and woodwork.
