Professional Drumming 101

In this course, you will develop the key skills required to play drumset in a professional setting. This eight-week course will focus on modern drumming grooves, timing, equipment needs, and how to instantly apply these skills in the music industry today. Ages 13 and up, open to drummers looking to excel in any rock, jazz, musical, or concert band setting for their future drum endeavors.

Topics will include:

• How to subdivide and play with a click
• Making simple song charts
• Equipment needs
• Professionalism in the music industry
• How to mic and record drums
• How to tune your drums
• Jazz improvisation
