Ali Dencklau
Ali Dencklau began piano lessons at the age of five, inspiring a lifelong love for music. She would go on to spend the next four decades expanding her repertoire to include singing, guitar, ukulele, flute, drums, beat making, and looping. Today, Ali has her Master of Music Therapy degree from Purdue University Fort Wayne, and she’s eager to help students discover the joy of music. She believes music has the power to connect people on a non-verbal level, which is why it’s an invaluable tool for therapy. Improvising and creating music on the spot with others can be a very powerful feeling, she says. Ali loves listening to the music of Ani DiFranco, CAKE, and Galactic. But her creative spark extends beyond just the performing arts. She also loves to draw and paint with watercolors, pens, and markers.
