Connor Wooley

Connor Wooley’s skills for music composition has earned him commissions from performers and ensembles throughout the Midwest and even the United States Air Force Band. He sees both composition and his trumpet performance as ways to express himself and make deep connections. Connor has performed in five countries and is a 2024 winner of the National Band Association’s Young Composer/Conductor Mentor Project. A graduate of Purdue Fort Wayne’s School of Music, he now regularly teaches through the FWCS b Instrumental Program as well as through private lessons. In his free time, Connor enjoys disc-golf and watching World War II films and TV shows. You’ll regularly hear him listening to the masterworks of Mahler and Strauss, pianist Norah Jones, and even Rage Against the Machine.
