Terry Solomonson

Terry Solomonson is a natural performer who can be heard playing all over the Midwest. He’s Principal Tuba for Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Illinois. He also plays for the Fort Wayne Area Community Band. Originally from Chautauqua, New York, Terry earned his Bachelor of Music Education at Murray State University in Kentucky, his master’s at University of Louisville School of Music, and his PhD at the University of Illinois. He’s been teaching for more than four decades now. Terry’s wife, Dr. Eileen Garwood, shares his love for music, serving as a clinical music therapist at Purdue Fort Wayne.
