Summer Camps: Summer Jazz Workshop

The Pearl Arts Summer Jazz Workshop will occur Monday, June 01 through Friday, June 05 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Pearl Street Arts Center. This camp is for students entering grades 9 through 12. Registration is available via Eventbrite for $135.23. Throughout this workshop, students will refine their skills in jazz style and improvisation in a collaborative environment.

Kevin Klee will be leading this Summer’s workshop. A Ball State alumnus, Kevin retired after a 40-year career in music education, including 33 years at Snider High School. He is widely known and appreciated in the Fort Wayne community for his expertise and dedication to student bands. While no longer teaching in schools, Kevin stays involved in the music education community, and we are excited to have him lead our summer jazz workshop!

Students will have the opportunity to show their growth at a showcase to conclude the workshop. The showcase will occur on Friday, June 5th at 5:30 pm.
