From the Desk of the Executive Director
One of my favorite activities at Pearl Arts is inviting visitors and community members for a tour. Like those of you who are familiar with this beautiful, state-of-the-art facility, it is very hard to describe. So, as I have spent time with various visitors to Pearl Arts, here are the comments I have heard:
“I have never seen anything like this!”
“I had no idea something like this existed in Fort Wayne!”
“This place feels so alive!”
“This is exactly what our community has been missing!”
These reactions remind me every day why this work matters. Pearl Arts is more than a building filled with music—it is a living, breathing hub of creativity, innovation, and connection. When people walk through our doors, they immediately sense the energy of young musicians, groups finding community, and people of all ages experiencing state-of-the-art programs, from concerts to music technology classes to music therapy programs.
March is a month of momentum for us. Students in the Innovation Institute are preparing their final projects, ensembles are preparing for spring performances, and enrollment has begun for summer camps and classes. In addition, we are also deepening partnerships across Fort Wayne and beyond, connecting with schools, organizations, and community leaders who share our belief that the arts are essential to a thriving, inclusive city. Every new collaboration strengthens our ability to reach more students and families, and every visitor who walks through our doors becomes part of the story we are building together.
As we move into spring, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to each of you who are championing Pearl Arts and the exciting growth we are experiencing. Your support fuels our mission and allows us to dream boldly about what comes next.
Thank you for believing in Pearl Arts. Thank you for sharing our vision. And thank you for helping us create a place where creativity is not only taught and experienced but is truly lived.
Sincerely,
Angie
